Hi Friends & Family 17 years of 52.4 fundraising letters… hard to believe! I’m a little late getting my letter out this year (so please get your donation in quick, lol:), I’m just traveling home from dropping Millie off at her 2nd year of college in San Diego (she is loving it:), and heading to Montana to help Sadie for a few days with her sweet baby girl #3 (yay!). Life is full of it’s joy and it’s pain, and it sure doesn’t seem to slow down as time moves on!
Norah and I were so excited to go to India this past March along with some of our 52.4 team, it was an amazing trip! A couple of highlights… we got to teach the kids to play pickleball on the 3 brand new courts that 52.4 provided for them last year (so many smiles and so much joy), as well as see the brand new work in Calcutta that provides monthly nutrition kits to over 30 children and their families living with HIV/AIDS in India. It’s a gift to be able to witness the many ways that 52.4 funds are being used in India!
Some of the projects we are running for this year (which I am super excited about!)-
1. Build a brand new home of hope (orphanage) for 40 boys with HIV/AIDS in Odisha $67,000 for the building and furnishings (bunk cots, CCTV, and cabinets)
2. Nutrition Kit Support there are currently 350 HIV-Affected children on the waiting list to receive monthly support. $15 per child 52.4 would send $25,000 to be used to provide monthly support to these children.
3. Sports Equipment (Cricket Kits, Badminton, Volleyball/Football) $5,200 for 13 HOHs and 2 more pickleball courts in Ranchi and Odisha!- $5,900 per court
4. Funding the Calcutta Project for a full year $25,000
Thank you for partnering with me year after year, the need is still there after all these years, and as long as I can keep running for them- I will. This whole thing only works because it’s alot of people coming together in different ways, and your donation is just as important as the miles we run for them. I wish you could see their smiles in real life.
With lots of love, Dottie
